Moving into recruitment in 2005 in the United Kingdom, Martin has been fortunate enough to have lived in and recruited across Australia, meeting candidates from a range of built environment sectors and managed consultants and teams of recruiters across a number of industries, including: commercial and residential builders, quantity surveying firms, developers, civil and infrastructure contractors, engineering consultancies, architectural practices and facilities management agencies.
Over the course of his career he has developed a large network across these sectors – giving him a unique ability to recruit specialist roles in a range of disciplines. In more recent years, he has focussed his delivery of work within the Melbourne Commercial Construction industry dealing with developers and commercial builders; delivering assignments within intermediate to senior level positions.
With Martin’s background he has developed a deep understanding of the engagement techniques required to source top talent, whilst also working to develop large and deep network connections. He firmly believes success in the recruitment industry is simply down to understanding that his role is to give his clients a competitive advantage through hiring the best talent – utilising his network experience to attract these talented people to his client’s organisations – giving honest feedback and advice to both candidates and clients along the way.
