- Double story townhouses – 15 -40 homes per site
- Triple story townhouses – 50 – 100 homes + per site
- 2-3 story apartments with basements levels
With some very large scale developments locked and programmed for 2019, they are now seeking highly competent Building Manager or Senior Construction Manager to join them as they develop into one of the leading building contractors in Melbourne, over the next 12-24 months.
The Role
Managing two Construction Managers, who in-turn, manage multiple Project Managers and Supervisors, you will be overseeing projects values between $2M – $20M in value.

You will be responsible for:
- Leading, managing and developing a team of Construction Managers, Project Managers and Supervisors
- Liaise with clients and clients representatives
- Work with the Project Team to ensure design and construction process and planning is delivered
- Manage subcontract packages, scopes & lettings, procurement schedules and assist with head contract, progress claims, delay claims & external variations
- Be proficient in all contractual matters and have the ability to communicate this knowledge in a practical and meaningful way to the project team
- Oversee the technical elements of the build
- Manage project expenditure, reviewing and processing all subcontractor claims and creditor invoices
- Ensure safety and quality compliance on all projects
- Train, mentor and coach contracts administrators and other staff in administration duties and systems

As this is a lead role you will currently be operating in a similar role, or be ready to step up into this level of role as you have a proven track record delivering multiple projects in this space, at one time.
You will also need to demonstrate:

You will also need to demonstrate:
- Substantial experience within a main contractor environment, Townhouse builder or large reputable home builder
- Experience having worked in a similar project-based contract and financial management position on projects from pre-construction through to project delivery and commercial close-out.
- Have managed multiple project teams successfully – you will naturally demonstrate the ability to lead and develop the skills of others within the project team whilst ensuring efficient performance from the project commercial and administration functions.
